Some of the best breads in Wellington.
I love a sourdough loaf and Wellington has some great bakeries that do it well. These are the ones I return to most often.
Gramercy
Probably my favourite sourdough in Wellington. The classic campagne loaf is my go-to but they have other excellent options too. The crust is properly thick and crunchy, and the crumb has a good balance of chew and softness. Pick up a pastry and coffee while you’re there! Note they only do sourdough Wednesday to Saturday. You can order online the day before for pickup to make sure they don’t sell out before you get there!
Wellington Sourdough
Another excellent option for sourdough in Wellington. I often buy their loaves from Moore Wilson’s, which is incredibly convenient, but you can also visit their bakery.

Good Grief
I’ve only tried their Za’atar sourdough, but it was epic! I’ve bought it a few times from Moore Wilson’s but I’ve not yet visited their bakery.
The Bond Street Deli
As well as bagels and other pastries, The Bond Street Deli does a solid sourdough loaf. It doesn’t reach the levels of the others but it’s still tasty!
