“A new Mexican restaurant open for breakfast and lunch with an interesting authentic menu, including chilaquiles (a traditional Mexican breakfast/brunch with tortillas), huevos rancheros and tacos.

There's plenty of vegetarian options too.

We had the Birriaquiles (a birria version of the chilaquiles), all 3 tacos (Asada, Suadero and Calabacita), a watermelon agua fresca and an iced horchata coffee.

Everything was delicious but the Suadero taco was my favourite - I'd come back again just for a few more of those!

It's also worth mentioning their house chilli sauce which I wanted to drink a pint of! It has a nice level of mild spice, a depth of flavour and a perfect acidity. Hopefully they start selling it soon.

The prices for the serving sizes are a little high but it's worth it for the quality and delicious flavours. It's also the reality of good Mexican food in NZ - this isn't Mexico (or even California)!

I'm interested to try their cocktails and sample everything else on their menu!
